|Shailesh Desai, M.D. is board certified in Family Medicine. He has been serving the health needs of area residents at the Primghar Clinic for over 15 years. He provides care for all ages with special expertise in ear, nose, and throat, dermatology.|
|Anthony Peters, P.A.-C. is a Physician Assistant certified in Family Medicine. He joined the practice in 2010 with ten years of experience in Urgent Care, Family Practice and Emergency Medicine. He has a special interest in working with children and provides care to family members of all ages.|
Dr. Desai and Anthony are available full time at the Primghar Mercy Medical Clinic. It is recommended to call ahead whenever possible to make an appointment. If you need to be seen the same day and your regular health care provider is not available, you will be offered an appointment with one of our other providers.
In Case of Emergency
If you have a life-threatening emergency, the ambulance will respond by call 911. For a minor emergency that occurs during office hours, please call the office. We will give you further instructions.
After office hours, one of our healthcare providers is on call at the Baum Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar. You can call the hospital at 712-957-2300 or toll free 888-842-3905. If you need to be seen by the provider on call, you will be directed to go to the emergency department.
We suggest that you contact your pharmacy for a prescription renewal. Sometimes your prescription can be refilled without calling your doctor. The pharmacy will handle getting your prescription.
If you have a medication that cannot be refilled without returning to the doctor, please call ahead for an appointment before your medication runs out. Always bring your medications or a list of them when you come for an appointment.
You are requested to pay any amounts not covered by insurance at the time of service, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Financial assistance is available upon application.
It is important that you bring your insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid card to each visit. Our staff will file your insurance for you. Please notify our office of any address or phone number changes.
